S. Mahesh Chandran

Prime Minister's Research Fellow

About

I am a Prime Minister's Research Fellow pursuing PhD in the Astronomy, Cosmology and Gravity (ACG) Group, Dept. of Physics, IIT Bombay. My research primarily focuses on developing approaches that make use of entanglement for extracting relevant results from quantum field theory, and studying their applications in gravitational phenomena.  The doctoral thesis is being prepared under the supervision of Prof. S. Shankaranarayanan.

Educational Background

Here's the timeline so far:
  • PhD in Physics, IIT Bombay (2019-current)
  • Research Assistant in the Dept. of Physics, IIT Bombay (2018-19)
  • BS-MS Dual Degree in Physics, IISER Thiruvananthapuram (2013-18)
  • ICSE/ISC, Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School, Thrissur (2001-13)
